Впервые удалось получить настоящий бензин из воздуха — и не в лаборатории, а в реальной городской среде.

Устройство от компании Aircela всасывает CO₂, добавляет воду и с помощью возобновляемой энергии синтезирует реальное топливо. Полученный бензин по качеству превосходит АИ-95 и не содержит ни серы, ни этанола, ни тяжелых металлов.

Демонстрация прошла в Нью-Йорке — бензин залили напрямую в бак обычной машины.

Один такой блок, по расчетам компании, сможет производить до 1 литра топлива в час. В теории установка масштабируема. Массовое производство планируют начать осенью 2025 года.
